PURPOSE: A method and a system for managing a public computer are provided to enable a user to use a program by paying a rental fee of the program at need without buying an expensive program and enable an operator to obtain a profit by mounting a public computer in a public place. CONSTITUTION: A disablement state of a public computer is converted into an available state(S11). An available time and a charge of the state-converted public computer are displayed(S12). If a charged program of the public computer is selected, a rental fee and an available time of the charged program are displayed. If the charged program is executed, a rental fee of the charged program is levied by subtracting the time and charge displayed(S13). The available time of the public computer is collected. |
