The arrangement has two headlamps (2,3). The emission direction (B) of the first headlamp (2) is parallel to the direction of travel (A) and that (C) of the second (3) is transverse to the direction of travel. Light from the second headlamp is deflected parallel to the direction of travel by a deflection mirror (4). The first headlamp is for main beam and the second fore dipped beam.
