PURPOSE: A method for injecting a plug of an engine block using an index system is provided to reduce production facility and installation space as be injected a plug by rotation of an engine block in a single device when a water jacket and an oil hole are injected by the plug, and to improve economic efficiency as assembling an engine block of various vehicles. CONSTITUTION: An index system consists of a supporter supporting the bottom of an engine block; a housing formed in the bottom of the supporter; a rotary apparatus made to be able to rotate the housing; a stop apparatus made to stop the housing, moved by the rotary apparatus and an elevating apparatus, in accurate position. A method for injecting a plug of an engine block using an index system consists of a glue coating step(S1) coating glue in a water jacket and an oil hole in the engine block; a water plug injecting step(S2) injecting the plug in the water jacket after coating the glue; an engine block rotating step(S3) rotating the engine block to the index system after injecting the plug in the water jacket; an oil plug injecting step(S4) injecting the plug to the oil hole after rotating the engine block.
