The present invention relates to an accessory operated in connection to a portable terminal and, more particularly, to a vertically reversible portable terminal accessory with upper and lower positions reversed when the accessory is coupled with a lower portion of the portable terminal so that the accessory is not positioned top down. The vertically reversible portable terminal accessory according to the present invention includes: a character portion operated or emitting light in response to an electrical signal generated by the portable terminal; and a connector portion coupled with an upper portion or the lower portion of the portable terminal, transmitting the electrical signal to the character portion, and reversing upper and lower portion positions of the character portion.
