<p>The inventive speed control system for a transport means comprises a main brake pedal (1) and an additional brake pedal (2) arranged independently from the main pedal (2) in such a way that it can directly actuate a brake cylinder and be actuated by the left foot of a driver of the transport means. Said system also comprises an accelerator pedal (3) arranged independently from the main brake pedal (2).
