A process for preparing substance GM-95 [I], characterized by (a) deblocking a cyclic compound of the general formula [II] (wherein R1s are each independently lower alkyl, and R2 is a thiol-protecting group) to convert th e acetal group into a formyl group through the removal of the protective group s (R1s), and reacting the formyl group with the amido group via intramolecular cyclization to form an oxazole ring, and (b) deblocking the obtained cyclic compound of the general formula [III] to remove the thiol-protecting group (R2), and reacting the resulting thiol group with the amido group via intramolecular cyclization to form a thiazoline ring.
