Multilayer disk manufacturing apparatus and method for calculating the rotation offset error of a disk highly precisely in a noncontact manner and lowering the manufacturing cost while eliminating a complicated construction of a table for turning the disk. The multilayer disk manufacturing apparatus (100) for bonding a disk (220) to another disk (210) comprises fixing means for fixing/arranging the disk (220), illuminating means (150) for illuminating the boundary portion (223) between an embossed signal region (221) and a non-signal region of the disk fixed/arranged, imaging means (140) for capturing the return of the light emitted by the illuminating means, a centering unit (131) for centering the signal region of the disk (210), and varying means (110) for varying the relative positions of the centering unit and the fixing means.
