The method involves connecting a power source (26) over a pressing unit (1), and arranging the pressing unit in contact with a deformable layer (4,21) so that a pattern in the unit faces the layer. A power source (26) is operated so that a current is passed through the pressing unit to heat the pressing unit and the layer. The pressing unit is pressed against the layer so that the pattern is transferred to the layer. An Independent claim is also included for transferring a pattern from a pressing unit to a deformable layer. |
