PURPOSE: A device and method for collecting butane of a butane waste cylinder is provided to reduce a producing cost and to recycle the butane by collecting the butane. CONSTITUTION: A butane collector of a butane waste cylinder comprises a hydraulic cylinder(11A) controlling expansion force of liquefied butane; a pressing plate(13A) fixed on an end portion of a piston rod(12A); a frame(10A) supplying a placing space of a butane waste cylinder(14A); a compressor(20A) supplying pressure energy into air presser; a gas pressurizing media high pressure storing tank connected to a T shaped connector(22A); a pressing valve(24A) mounted on the T shape connector; a rubber hose(25A)mounted on the T shaped connector; a coupler(26A) engaged with a liquefied discharging valve of the butane waste cylinder; a sealing testing valve(27A) opened to prevent explosion; a boring and channel control unit engaged with an inducing conduit; and a manometer checking leakage of the liquefied butane.
