The invention concerns a device for controlling an aircraft deceleration in running phase on a runway, the device comprising: means for input (100) of a current position of the aircraft on the runway; means for input (100) of a current speed of the aircraft on the strip, calculating means (102), receiving the position and speed values derived from the input means, for establishing, on the basis of a desired final speed of the aircraft in a so-called final position on the runway, a time modifying the deceleration set point, subsequent to a current time, and a new deceleration set point to be applied, based on the modifying time, to reach the desired final speed.
