USE OF ACETYL-COA CARBOXYLASE FOR IDENTIFYING COMPOUNDS THAT HAVE AN INSECTICIDAL EFFECT

The invention relates to nucleic acids, which code for polypeptides from insects having the biological activity of acetyl-CoA carboxylases, to polypeptides coded thereby, and to their use for identifying novel compounds that have an insecticidal effect. The invention also relates to methods for discovering modulators of these polypeptides, and to the use of these compounds as inhibitors of the ACCase from insects.
