The ventilator has a casing (1) with an upper conical cover (9). The lower part of the casing contains a radial rotatable running wheel (5). The casing has a vertical flow channel (4) with a flow-operated closing device in the form of an annular closing cap (11) round the upper cover of the casing which can move up and down in the casing.
