PURPOSE: To provide a throw-away wearing article which brings the opposite side portions around the legs of the article having elastic stretchability into tight contact with the portions around the legs of a wearing person, thereby making it possible to prevent the leakage of excrement from the portions around the legs. CONSTITUTION: A base sheet 2 having the elastic stretchability is two-folded and fastened in the opposite side portions 2c around the legs. The basis weight in the opposite side portions 2c is greater than that of the remaining region of the base sheet 2 exclusive of the opposite side portions 2c. The elongating force of the base sheet 2 in the opposite side portions 2c is higher than that of the remaining region.
