Self-foaming or foamed cosmetic or dermatological compositions contain (1) a 3-part emulsifier system; (2) a lipid phase containing a polar lipid of maximum polarity 20mN/m (up to 30% based on total wt. of the composition); and (3) air, O2, N2, He, argon, N2O or CO2 (1-90% based on total volume of the composition). Self-foaming or foamed cosmetic or dermatological compositions contain (1) an emulsifier system comprising (A) an emulsifier which is an optionally neutralized, optionally branched and optionally unsaturated fatty acid of chain-length 10-45C, (B) an emulsifier which is a polyethoxylated fatty acid ester of chain-length 10-40C and ethoxylation degree 5-100 and (C) a co-emulsifier which is an optionally unsaturated, optionally branched fatty alcohol of chain-length 10-40C; (2) a lipid phase containing a polar lipid of maximum polarity 20mN/m (up to 30% based on total wt. of the composition); and (3) air, O2, N2, He, argon, N2O or CO2 (1-90% based on total volume of the composition).
