The inner (22) and outer (24) parts of the heat transmitter are joined by friction welding (28) to ensure firm hold and interval space (26) retention in service. Additional components include the spray jet (2), heat shield (4) and impact plate (6) carrying the combustion chamber (10) and adjoining flame tube (16) with coincident ports (14,20).
