The invention concerns a composition for marking a solid or liquid product and the method for making such a composition. The method for making a composition for marking solid or liquid products is characterised in that it consists in producing a covalent bond between fluorescent molecules and porous silica microspheres with mineral physical base, for example, by reacting porous silica microspheres having primary amine terminations, with fluorescent molecules having terminations reacting with the primary amines such as a succinimidyl ester termination.
