PURPOSE: A ticket agent system and a reservation method thereof are provided to perform the purchase or reservation of a ticket for a user and to inform the result of a purchase and a reservation to the user. CONSTITUTION: User information terminals(32,34) are connected to a ticket agent system(50) via the cable Internet(42) or the wireless Internet(44). The information terminals are a digital TV, a PC, a notebook, a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant), a cellular phone, or a pager. The ticket agent server consists of a wire/wireless Internet connection interface, a user database, an input unit, a control unit, and a transmitting unit. The ticket agent system performs searching, reserving and purchasing as a proxy for a user. The ticket agent system is connected with ticket servers(52,54,56,58) via a second network(46). The ticket servers issue ticket by receiving ticket reservation requests from the ticket agent system.
