PURPOSE: A locking device for safety of a window is provided to supply the convenience in closing and locking the window because the window is locked automatically when a person closes the window and the locking is released and the window is opened when the person turns the handle. CONSTITUTION: The locking device for safety of the window includes a handle(5), a lever(6), a locking rod(7) and a rotating board(9). The handle is connected with the lever(6) and when the handle(5) is turned, the lever is also turned and a support projection(6') moves upward. When the support projection(6') moves, a locking rod pin(7') moves upward and it pulls up a locking rod(7). A rotating board(9) is formed under the locking rod(7) and the rotation of the rotating board(9) is controlled by a lock assisting pin(4'), the locking rod(7) and a fixed rod(8). A pulling spring(10) fixes the locking rod(7) to the upper part and pulls down the locking rod(7) and when the groove(b) of the rotating board(9) is coincided with the locking rod(7), the locking rod(7) enters the groove(b). A pushing spring(11) is fixed on one part of the rotating board(9) and left and right rotation by the pushing spring(11) is carried out. The fixed rod(8) is located in the groove(c) and closes the both ends of the groove(c) in rotation by the pushing spring(11). The lock assisting pin(4') enters the groove(a) of the rotating board(9) and is fixed by the locking rod(7) and the window isn't opened.
