摘要 PURPOSE: A transmitting/receiving apparatus for an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system is provided to improve bit error probability through a turbo coding when transmitting data by an OFDM transmission method in wireless channel environment. CONSTITUTION: An OFDM transmitting apparatus(100) includes a turbo encoder(110) for receiving a transmission data signal and performing a parallel concatenated convolutional coding of the received transmission data signal, and a serial-to-parallel converter(120) for transmitting the serial data signal encoded by the turbo encoder(110) to a plurality of parallel carrier channels. The OFDM transmitting apparatus(100) has an interleaver(130) for interleaving the parallel data signal outputted the serial-to-parallel converter(120), and an OFDM modulator(140) for multiplying the parallel output signal of the interleaver(130) by each sub-carrier to maintain mutual orthogonality, modulating the parallel output signal as an OFDM signal, and transmitting the OFDM signal through a wireless channel(300) such as a PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) or satellite network. An OFDM receiving apparatus(200) comprises an OFDM demodulator(210) for demodulating the OFDM signal received through the wireless channel(300) on the basis of each sub-carrier signal, and a deinterleaver(220) for deinterleaving a parallel data signal demodulated by the OFDM demodulator(210). The OFDM receiving apparatus(200) has a parallel-to-serial converter(230) for converting the deintereleaved parallel data signal into a serial data signal, and a turbo decoder(240) for performing a parallel concatenated convolutional coding of the output data signal of the parallel-to-serial converter(230).
