PURPOSE: A pressure control apparatus of an electric rice cooker is provided to perform normal rice cooking by detecting a steam leakage and preventing the steam leakage upon cooking. CONSTITUTION: An L shape frame(23) is fixed at a tap plate(22) of an electric rice cooker lid(21), a steam-exhausting pipe(24) for exhausting a steam in an oven is fixed at the frame(23). An electromagnet(25) for generating a magnetic force is fixed to have a certain distance from the steam-exhausting pipe. A cap plate(26) is coupled at a leading end of the frame(23), so that the cap plate is moved rotatably into topside of the electromagnet(25). A nozzle cap(27) of a cone shape for closing an outlet of the steam-exhausting pipe(24) is coupled at an end of the cap plate. A steam leakage-detecting sensor(40) is fixed at topside of the steam-exhausting pipe, and detects a temperature increase due to a leakage of the steam upon cooking.
