PURPOSE: A condenser with liquid receiver and bypass passage is provided to make refrigerant discharged from the condenser remain liquefied. CONSTITUTION: A condenser includes a first header(32) and a second header(34); a plurality of tubes; a plurality of fins; a plurality of baffles(42); a refrigerant inlet pipe(64); a liquid receiver(40); a refrigerant outlet pipe(66); and holes(42a). The first header and the second header are placed in parallel. The tubes are placed parallel to each other at regular intervals and have both ends connected to the first header and the second header. The fins are interposed between the tubes. The baffles are placed in the first header and the second header to partition the headers into a plurality of compartments to determine a plurality of refrigerant passages with the compartments in relation to the tubes. The refrigerant inlet pipe is formed on an upper compartment(52) of the first header. The liquid receiver is connected either of the first header or the second header. The refrigerant outlet pipe is formed on the first header, the second header or the liquid receiver. The holes are formed on the baffles to make liquefied refrigerant, condensed in the refrigerant passages, to pass between the compartments in the same header. Refrigerant flows in a condenser(30) to be condensed into liquid, flows in through a lower passage(46) connecting the second header and the liquid receiver. Refrigerant flows in a last refrigerant passage from the liquid receiver through the lower passage to be over-cooled.
