PURPOSE: A condenser with liquid receiver and bypass passage is provided to make refrigerant discharged from the condenser keep almost liquefied. CONSTITUTION: Refrigerant, flowing in a first refrigerant passage(P1) to be condensed, is primarily divided into gas and liquid in a second header(34). Gaseous refrigerant flows in second refrigerant passages(P2,P3) to be condensed again and flows out to a liquid receiver(40) through an upper passage(44) formed between an upper compartment of a header where the liquid receiver is placed and the liquid receiver. Liquefied refrigerant flows out to the outflow pipe(66) through third refrigerant passages(P5,P6). Refrigerant is connected between the liquid receiver and the header where the liquid receiver is placed through a lower passage(46). Refrigerant flowing into the liquid receiver is secondarily divided into gas and liquid by reaction with liquefied refrigerant in the liquid receiver.
