Electrical wire having a covering of a resin composition

An electrical wire suitable for use in a vehicle, has a conductor and an electrically insulating covering on the conductor. The covering is a resin composition comprising a first polymer, at least one second polymer and a filler in the form of filler particles. The first polymer has a higher bonding affinity to the filler particles than the second polymer or polymers whereby the filler particles have a surface coating of the first polymer and the surface-coated filler particles are embedded in a matrix of the second polymer or polymers. The filler is homogeneously dispersed and the covering has good properties.
