PURPOSE: A method for deleting subscriber information in a VLR(Visitor Location Register) is provided to manage substantial subscribers more efficiently by finding and deleting unessential subscribers among location-registered subscribers. CONSTITUTION: If an arbitrary subscriber attempts location registration(S101), a VLP in a VLR attempts location registration(S102). Then the VLP confirms whether location registration is successful(S103). In case that location registration failed, the VLP re-attempts location registration for the subscriber(S104). If the VLP succeeds in location registration, the VLP registers subscriber information in the VLR and stores the hour(S105). Afterwards the VLP checks whether the registered subscriber accesses the system(S106). In case that the registered subscriber does not access the system, the VLP confirms whether a required period expired and deletes subscriber information if the required period expired(S107). Meanwhile, if the registered subscriber accesses the system, the VLP updates the present access hour information of the subscriber at the subscriber information database of the VLR(S108). |
