PURPOSE: A manhole cover for a road is provided to prevent breakage by load with removing clattering of the manhole cover installed on the road while car passing and to prevent the alien materials from entering the manhole. CONSTITUTION: The manhole cover(20) for the road includes a manhole cover supporting portion(22), projected portions(24), groove portions(26) and a locking portion(28). The manhole cover supporting portion(22) is fixed to the surface of the road. The groove portions(26) are formed in the manhole cover supporting portion(22) for rotation to the right. The locking portion(28) is formed in the groove portions(26) to prevent the movement toward the upper part. The end steps of the projected portions(24) are formed in the direction of the outer part and are inserted into the type groove portions(26) formed on the manhole cover supporting portion(22) and then move to the locking portion(28) and are fixed there.
