PURPOSE: A tension adjusting apparatus of a parking cable for a vehicle is provided to improve convenience by adjusting tension of the parking cable automatically with elastic force, and to prevent accidents by distributing operating force to wheels of the vehicle evenly. CONSTITUTION: A tension adjusting device of a parking cable for a vehicle is composed of a cable assembly installed in a parking lever; a main cable(3) combined with the assembly to operate left and right cables(5,6) connected to a brake assembly of vehicle wheels; an equalizer(4) connecting the main cable to left and right cables, and distributing operational force evenly; and an adjuster(10) installed in the equalizer to adjust tension of the main cable automatically with elasticity. The equalizer consists of a cylindrical assembling member(11) combined with the main cable moving along a moving slot(4a) vertically formed in the equalizer, and an elastic member(13) adjusting the tension of the main cable by pressing the assembling member with elastic force. Convenience is improved, and accidents are prevented with automatically adjusting tension of the cable by using elastic force.
