PURPOSE: A method of driving a liquid crystal display is provided to minimize the area of a part having a digital-to-analog conversion function of a liquid crystal display driving IC so as to reduce the area of the driving IC. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display is constructed of a plurality of liquid crystal display panels(10). An active element is attached to each of the liquid crystal display panels. At least two signal lines are multi-scanned while a scan line is selected. Switching elements(30,31) are located between the output terminal of a digital-to-analog converter of a liquid crystal display driving IC and a signal line of a liquid crystal cell. The signal lines are multi-scanned using the switching elements.
