SPILLING PROCESS

PURPOSE: A spilling process is provided to reinforce a tunnel according to assumption conditions by applying a limit-balance analysis to obtain a desirable stability and reinforcing the tunnel satisfying the pre-determined stability. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises several steps of: obtaining a two-dimensional stability of cross-sectional side of the tunnel and a three-dimensional stability of a blind end of the tunnel required to analyze the stability of the tunnel; selecting a proper condition satisfying a pre-determined stability among both values from the first step; boring the tunnel in a direction of the blind end radiation and/or of progressing the tunnel depending on the selected condition and inserting a reinforcing material and grouting the tunnel. The first step is conduced by utilizing a display equipped with a simulation program for obtaining the two-dimensional and the three-dimensional stabilities based on at least one assumptions.
