METHOD FOR DRIVING ELECTRO-LUMINESCENT DISPLAY BY DOUBLE DIVISION

PURPOSE: A method for driving an electro-luminescent display by double division is provided to enlarge a lifetime of a display device by minimizing an optical and an electric interference between cells and preventing the remaining charges of the cells. CONSTITUTION: A data line is formed with an ITO(Indium Tin Oxide). A scan line is formed with a metal. One frame is divided into an even part and an odd part. Data are applied to the divided parts when an image signal is outputted to a data electrode line of a panel. The even part is turned off when the odd part is displayed and the odd part is turned off when the even part is displayed. Namely, a lifetime of cell is enlarged and the performance of the cell is improved since charges of the even part are removed when the odd part is operated whereas the charges of the odd part are removed when the even part is operated.
