AUTOMATIC MODE TRANSFER METHOD IN BLUETOOTH/CDMA DUAL MODE MOBILE TERMINAL

PURPOSE: An automatic mode transfer method in a Bluetooth/CDMA dual mode mobile terminal is provided to automatically transfer the present mode of a Bluetooth/CDMA dual mode mobile terminal to a Bluetooth mode or a CDMA mode as the mobile terminal detects or fails to detect a Bluetooth signal. CONSTITUTION: Operating in a CDMA mode through a CDMA base station(400), a Bluetooth/CDMA dual mode mobile terminal periodically checks whether a Bluetooth signal is detected(402). If the Bluetooth signal is detected, the dual mode mobile terminal transfers to a Bluetooth mode and executes communication through a generic wired telephone network(404). However, in case that the Bluetooth signal is not detected, the dual mode mobile terminal continues to detect the Bluetooth signal while maintaining the CDMA mode.
