<p>Carbapenem compounds represented by general formula (I) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein each symbol has the meaning as defined in the specification. Because of being excellent in absorbability in the digestive tract when administered orally and showing sufficient antimicrobial activities over a broad scope of microorganisms, these compounds (I) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof are highly useful as preventives and remedies for infectious diseases, in particular, microbisms. These preventives and remedies are usable in preventing and treating diseases caused by bacteria such as purulent diseases, respiratory infection, biliary infection, and urinary tract infection in warm-blooded animals including human being, dog, cat, cow, horse, rat and mouse.</p> |
