PURPOSE: An apparatus for correcting an error of an acceleration sensor of a vehicle is provided to measure correctly velocity of the vehicle by using an absolute acceleration value. CONSTITUTION: An acceleration sensor(10) is used for measuring acceleration of a traveling vehicle in order to predict an upper and a lower movement of the vehicle. An integrator(20) is used for integrating measured values of the acceleration sensor(10) in order to obtain velocity of the vehicle. An A/D converter(30) is used for converting a velocity value of the vehicle to a digital value. A set switch(50) is used for generating a signal for storing data in order to compensate an installing error of the acceleration sensor(10). A reset switch(60) is used for resetting an operation of a control portion(40). The control portion(40) is used for storing an error angle to a memory according to a signal of the set signal(50) and obtaining an absolute acceleration value.
