PURPOSE: A structure for preventing backflow of odor of ceiling type air conditioner is provided to prevent odor from flowing back from a drain pipe connected to a drain tube. CONSTITUTION: A structure includes a drain tube part(80); and a backflow preventive device. The drain tube part has one side connected to a drain pump(70) placed above a drain pan(58) and the other side connected to a drain pipe(88) to deliver condensed water, generated in a heat exchanger(56) and collected in the drain pan, to the drain pipe. The backflow preventive device is inserted to the one side of the drain tube part to prevent odor, passing the drain pipe, from flowing back through the drain tube part. The backflow preventive device is a preponderating member(90). The preponderating member rotates around a center thereof to open the drain tube part when condensed water is forcibly delivered to inside of the drain tube part by driving of the drain pump. The preponderating member rotates around the center thereof to close the drain tube part by weight of a lower part thereof when the drain pump stops.
