DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING POWER OF DISPLAY OF AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: A device for controlling power of display of air conditioner is provided to extend life of the display. CONSTITUTION: A device includes a square wave conversion part(210); and a control part(140). The square wave conversion part switches input alternating current power to convert into square wave and impresses to a vacuum fluorescent display(VFD) according to switching control signal. The control part impresses switching control signal to the square wave conversion part to drive the VFD(220). Generation of surge voltage is prevented on initial impression of power by switching commercial alternating current voltage to converting into square wave to extend life of the VFD.
