<p>An oven for baking waffles has a rotating, continuous waffle irons chain comprising several waffle irons (1) which pivot open and which each have a lower irons section (2) and an upper irons section (5) linked to the same by an irons hinge (6). A lower moulding plate (13) is located on the lower irons section (2) and together with an upper moulding plate (15), encloses several baking mould cavities. The upper moulding plate (15) is pivotably mounted on the irons hinge (6), independently of the upper irons section (5). Each baking mould cavity has at least one riser bore (21) extending to the top surface of the top moulding plate (15). A pin support plate (22) that is mounted on the upper irons section (5) has several closing pins (24) which each fit into the designated riser bore (21) of the upper moulding plate (15) in order to force the dough that has penetrated the riser bore (21) back into the baking mould cavity.</p> |
