<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for automatically diagnosing the states of a base station and a BSC(Base Station Controller) in a mobile communication BSM(Base Station Manager) system are provided to offer a quick diagnosis method and convenience to an operator by automatically performing a diagnosis process of the base station or the BSC according to a test procedure and displaying the result value within a pattern and a range for which the operator wishes. CONSTITUTION: An MMC(Man Machine Communication) operating unit(100) has a memory(101) for storing diagnosis result messages such as states, faults, and statistics, and a diagnosis processing unit(102) for receiving an MMC instruction with an FDL(Function Description Language) file type and successively performing diagnosis operations such as the states, faults, and statistics of a corresponding BSC(20) or a base station(10). The diagnosis processing unit(102) receives the diagnosis result messages such as the states, faults, and statistics from an operation/maintenance processing unit(21,11) of the corresponding BSC(20) or a base station(10), changes the result message into a pattern requested by an operator, and transmits the result message to an operator terminal(200) through a user interface unit(300).</p> |
