PURPOSE: A ceiling type air conditioner is provided to purify indoor air without installing separate structure for installation of electric dust collector. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner includes a main body(54); an intake grill(90); an electric dust collector(60); and a control box(70). The main body has a heat exchanger(56) and an air blower(58) built in and is installed to a ceiling(52). The intake grill has inlets(92) formed to take indoor air into the main body and is joined to a lower side of the main body. The electric dust collector is placed in the main body to ionize dust in the air taken in through the inlets to electrify to remove. The control box has the electric dust collector, fixed on one side thereof to be placed on the inlets, the other side fixed to an inner surface of the main body and a control part, controlling the air conditioner, received therein. |
