PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically changing data in a keyphone is provided to automatically change various data provided to the keyphone using an ID card. CONSTITUTION: A keyphone system(1) has a memory(1a) for temporarily storing data recorded in a card, and the first CPU(1b) for reading the data stored in the memory(1a) and controlling the operation of a subscriber telephone(11). The subscriber telephone(11) has a card reader(11c) for reading information data about a user telephone, which are recorded in the inserted card, and a read circuit unit(11a) for reading data outputted from the card reader(11c). The subscriber telephone(11) has the second CPU(11b) for reading the data from the read circuit unit(11a) and communicating with the first CPU(1b) in the keyphone system(1) connected through an extension.
