PURPOSE: A roller for automatically controlling an up-looper in wire rod rolling is provided to improve productivity and quality of desired wire rod products by effectively preventing sticking of a proceeding steel product into rollers, and deflection or shaking of the proceeding steel product. CONSTITUTION: The roller for automatically controlling an up-looper in wire rod rolling comprises an up down finger arm part(4) which is connected to an air cylinder operating a loop forming push roller through a link, and at both sides of the front part of which fingers(4-2) having roller grooves(4-3) are oppositely equipped; push bar parts(5) which have rollers(5-3) slid into the roller grooves(4-3) of the fingers(4-2), and which are installed at and supported to a support(6) so that the push bar parts(5) are moved side to side; and a control roller part(3) comprising side rollers(3-1,3-2) which are arranged at the body of a central roller part of the control roller part(3) and both sides of the body of the roller part in the state that the side rollers(3-1,3-2) receive elastic repulsive force by a tension spring, wherein the control roller part(3) is installed in the state that it receives force that is pushed toward the body of the body of the central roller part by the push bar parts(5).
