An impact resistant motor-operated power steering device, wherein, even it a large impact force is applied to a rack shaft (22) when, for example, the rack shaft (22) abuts, with impact, on a steering stopper and the axial force of a retaining member (30) against a ball bearing (25) becomes zero, the rotation of the retaining member (30) can be prevented by caulkings (c) on a sheet part (30b), whereby the retaining member (30) is prevented from loosening and a specified axial force can be added again to the ball bearing (25) when the impact force is eliminated so as to prevent the bearing from being extracted from a ball screw nut as a low cost. |
