PURPOSE: A device for gathering shag of an automatic washing machine is provided to prevent foreign matters, such as pieces of thread or shag, which are filtered and gathered by a gathering net, form entering into the inside of an inner wash tub, in which clothing are being washed. CONSTITUTION: A device for gathering shag of an automatic washing machine includes a cover, a case and a counterflow preventing plate(50). The cover has a number of inlet holes for inducing wash water. The case has a gathering hole in which a gathering net is mounted and an insertion hole formed in the center of the bottom of the case. The insertion hole has a number of discharge holes for discharging wash water passing through the gathering net. The counterflow preventing plate opens and shuts the discharge holes. |
