PURPOSE: A valve of a hydrant is provided to open and close a valve seat conveniently by hydraulic pressure of fluid, to prevent a valve body from being bent, and to simplify the assembling process by inserting a guide member to a guide groove of a valve rod. CONSTITUTION: A hydrant valve is composed of a valve case(10) having an inlet(1), an outlet(3), and a valve seat(5) placing a valve body(200); the valve body opening and closing the valve seat; a valve rod(300) installed in the valve body, and moved up and down by turning a handle(50); a lid combined with the valve rod, and installed in the valve case; a guide groove(310) formed in the end of the valve rod; and a guide member formed in the side of the valve body, and inserted to the guide groove to move up and down the valve body according to pressure of fluid flowing from the inlet. Bending deformation of the valve is prevented against pressure of the valve rod by increasing the thickness of the middle part of the valve body. Fluid is discharged actively with guiding flow with forming the conical valve body. Assembling process is reduced with integrally forming the guide member in the valve body.
