PURPOSE: An air cleaner inserted with a variable-length tube is provided to actively remove noises of the entire operation range of an engine by varying the length of an air intake port depending on frequency. CONSTITUTION: An air intake port(6) is formed at a side of an air cleaner case(2). A bellows(7) made with an elastic material is formed at the part of the air intake port. The air intake port is installed in the case via an adapter of the bellows. The bellows is extended to the inside of the case. An auxiliary tube(10) is formed in the bellows. The auxiliary tube is connected to a surge tank(11) by the opening and closing of a solenoid valve(8). The negative pressure formed in the surge tank is transmitted to the hollow core portion of the bellows. The length of the bellows is varied depending on the opening degree of the solenoid valve. Therefore, the intake noise is actively removed at the entire operation range of an engine.
