PURPOSE: A production method of inorganic fiber plates used as heat insulators is provided, which improves vertical compression strength and flexural strength by changing fiber arrangement from two dimensional irregular order to three dimensional irregular order. CONSTITUTION: The production method comprises the steps of: carrying spun inorganic fibers to a dispersion vessel; dispersing the fibers into water, and mixing with inorganic binders, such as silica sol and alumina sol, to be a slurry, where the mixing ratio of water to inorganic fibers is 20-30 : 1; dehydrating the inorganic slurry in two steps, natural and pressing dehydration, and forming; drying the formed fiber plates at 190-300deg.C for 5-30min firstly, and at 190-300deg.C for 5-10min secondly; coating the surface of the fiber plates with organic binder, and drying.
