PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging method in which an image having excellent hue reproducibility can be formed by improving the drawbacks of thermal transfer system, i.e., damage of a support and unevenness of image due to heat, and an existing inkjet printer system can be utilized effectively. SOLUTION: The imaging method comprises a step for forming a latent image by imparting a transfer acceleration material, filling a cartridge and lowering the transfer temperature of a transfer recording layer, imagewise to the surface of transfer recording layer of a transfer sheet 5 or the image receiving surface of an image receiving sheet 11; and a step for heating the transfer sheet 5 and the image receiving sheet 11 while applying the surface of transfer recording layer of the transfer sheet 5 tightly to the image receiving surface of the image receiving sheet 11, and transferring a part of the transfer recording layer corresponding to a latent image onto the image receiving sheet 11. |
