PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus in which the information of residual quantity of sheet of an imaging apparatus can be transmitted to a host on a network and a user can make a decision whether printing can be carried out on that imaging apparatus or not. SOLUTION: The apparatus for forming an image based on image information from an external I/F, e.g. a network, comprises means for detecting the residual quantity of sheet of the imaging apparatus, and means for providing information of the residual quantity of sheet thus detected to the external I/F. |
