PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for freeze concentration, whereby ice crystals can be separated from a solute-containing concentrate at a good efficiency by a simple operation. SOLUTION: An aqueous or colloidal solution containing a useful component is cooled to the melting point of the objective liquid concentrate or below to form a sherbet-like ice/concentrate mixture, and the mixture is filtered under the influence of gravity or a pressure difference with heating by irradiation with microwaves to concentrate and obtain the useful component. |
