PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a solidified biocatalyst in excellent reproducibility and to stably maintain the activity of the biocatalyst for a long period of time by drying a solidified biocatalyst at a fixed temperature for a given drying time. SOLUTION: This method is characterized in that in a method for producing a solidified biocatalyst by mixing a water-soluble polymer having properties to cause a crosslinking between polymers or a polymer and the surface of a cell with a cell having a catalytic activity, coating a water-insoluble-solid carrier with the obtained mixture and drying the carrier, the relation between a drying temperature and a drying time in the drying exists in the range of an enclosure represented by the figure 1.
