The drive shaft (3) is provided with two or more transmission parts (6, 7) located on the shaft central axis. The drive mechanism comprises a motor, a switching and/or control mechanism for turning the drive mechanism on and off and/or controlling the drive mechanism, and a coupling mechanism for connecting the tool (9) to a drive shaft. Independent claims are also included for (a) a tool used in combination with the drive mechanism, comprising a casing (13) containing a driveable axle with a receiving part for a tool auxiliary piece at one end, and a receiving part complimentary with the second transmission part (7) at the opposite end, and (b) a method for modifying a tool with an angled transmission in order to connect it to the above drive mechanism, comprising the removal of the gear casing with the angled transmission, the removal of the drive gear-wheel from the drive shaft, and the mounting of two transmission parts on the drive shaft.
