PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front suspension device for a bicycle allowing lightening and obtaining necessary strokes and displacement-load characteristics in a restricted space without attracting attention. SOLUTION: This front suspension device is mounted between a fork stem 1 and a fork crown 2 and comprises a support part 3 inclining downward in the rear fixed on a lower end of the fork stem 1, a horizontal rotating shaft 3A mounted on a tip of the support part 3, the fork crown 2 rockably connected around the rotating shaft 3A to have a receiving part 4 in parallel with the support part 3, and a columnar elastic body 5 inserted between the support part 3 and the receiving part 4. A compressive deformation restricting member 6 is mounted on the elastic body 5.
